Is it better to give plants cold water or room temperature water ?

I am doing a project on how different types of water can change the amount of plant growth ( like one plant ,I would mix the water with aspirin ,and another I would mix the water with milk ) But I just want to know what temperature of water would work the best ...or can you tell me what might happen to the plants with the aspirin and water ?

Is it better to give plants cold water or room temperature water ?
room temp. it's not such a shock to the roots
Reply:room tempature or tepid water is the best!
Reply:room temp is best as the cold will put the roots into shock and slow the plants growth.
Reply:i find it is better to give house plants room temperature so you do not shock them with cold tap water
Reply:Putting aspirin in water is for fresh cut flowers it keeps them longer.

Never use cold water for watering plants. shocks the roots and stunts the growth.
Reply:Room temperature is best as it keeps plant from going into shock.
Reply:I assume you mean indoor plants? Remember most indoor plants originated in the tropics so they don't like cold. Use room temperature water. The water temperature should be between 62 and 72 °F.

I hope this helps.
