You can pull them out or run them over with a lawn mower.there is nothing you can spray on them htat wont kill your lawn.
Reply:We just pluck them. If you're concerned about lawn damage, wait until it's just rained. The soil will be very soft, allowing the developing roots to slip right out. If you pull when the soil is dry, you'll tear out a clump of dirt with it.

The trees, known as volunteers because they grew their on their own, can also be transplanted or given to a friend, if you're willing to take up the soil around them and move them.
Reply:If you continue mowing off the little starter leaves the baby trees have they will not survive so just mow as you usually do. You simply need to pull up any seedlings that start in landscaping where you normally do not mow.
Reply:the best way to remove them is to pull them out but make sure you get the roots if you are careful enough you sould not be able to see where you pulled them out that is if they are not to round at the base of the plantling
Reply:You can crawl around and pluck them out with your fingers. They also don't appreciate being mowed and will not survive it. This works fine for me but I am not really a perfectionist.
Reply:I just mow them down.
