My son has to do a project for school drawing a plant or tree for each letter of the alphabet. Such as zucchini for z. Do you know any plants or trees that start with X? If so, do you know a web site that has a picture of it so my son can see what to draw. Thanks!

Reply:Xeranthemum - also known as Immortelles, white,pink, rose, violet, and purple about 21 inches tall. Great for drying.
Reply:I went thru all my plant reference books and found only one. the name is XANTHORHIZA simplicissima. Common name is yellowroot.If you type the name in to Wikipedia you will get a picture of the plant. Sorry this is the best I could do,maybe someone else will come up with a better one.
