Plants that are easy to maintain; not requiring expensive products to care for.Plants that can be taken care of during the fast busy routines.
Can anyone suggest any small indoor plants?
Here goes: Money plants, bamboo, ferns, cactus, bonsai, philodendron, aloe, and ivy. Any plant in these groups will do great with a little sun, water, and love. In addition, you have the African Violent which is my favorite of all.
Reply:The fern plant is pretty good at cleaning the air of co2 and producing the most o2.
If you are thinking of a plant to rid toxins and pollutants in the air then an aloe vera plant is currently the recommended plant for indoors for this purpose.
If you are looking for a showpiece and don't care about air quality then bromleiads are very neat with neon color'ed flowers depending on light and soil nutrients.
Reply:A couple of ideas-that may grow bigger but can start small. A philidendron, some kind of ivy plant, or a snake plant. Or try a Bonsai plant. A good place to find good plants, get answers to any questions, etc., would be your local plant nursery. You could at least get ideas from them, and then go somewhre inexpensive like Wal Mart or K Mart, etc. to buy a plant or two. Take care.
Reply:Money Plant and Croton are the Best
Reply:Money plant is excellent to keep indoors. Even you can keep in a bottle of water and it just keeps growing. No intensive care required.
Reply:What's that flower called that is usually given at funerals that are supposed to be kill proof??? I had one when my dad died and I thought I had killed it 3 times. All I did was water it again and it came back alive and it was a nice looking plant that flowered kinda like a lily
Reply:African violets are good. and ivy plants.
You can buy them small and they will larger in time. Often stores mark indoor plants down to 99 cents, Check grocery stores; they mark down violets after they bloom. But the blooms will come back. A small bottle of Violet food
fertilizer will last a long time.

Reply:There are various kinds of "money plants" which are available. They grow well in medium to bright light and hardly need care. Water them when soil is dry, put pot such that excess water drains out into a dish. The other name for this climber is pothos. The leaves can be green or green with yellow and white or even with slits and holes in them!
for a pic see this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Golde...
Another plant family that is very easy to care for is the bromelaide family. These plants take a little of care but main thing is they should not be over watered. Again putting pot on a plate with rocks will allow the water to drain out and keep roots from rotting. The bromelaide family of plants is very interesting and its main member is the pineapple! There are very decorative plants in this family and the ole pineapple is also very impressive.

If you have a sunny spot, throw some dhania in a pot and then harvest a few stalks for garnish at meal times. Same for mint and various other herbs.
If you can get a rosemary plant they are very nice, take a few leaves and add to boiling water for a nice aroma in the house. Just passing your hand lightly brushing the leaves will provide a great aromatic experience.
See info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosemary
Nothing like a little a few plants in the house to make it look great. Plants are also great for improving air quality. When you add to your collection be careful to keep new plants in a secluded place for a week or two to insure thay are bug free!
If you get bugs, soak some cig tobacco in water over night and spray the plant, with the water every other day for a couple of weeks, the bugs will die!!!
Weeelll here is to your green thumb, happy growing.
Reply:money plant.
Reply:Both the peace lily and the philodendron are super easy to take care of--they require little light, little water, and you can forget about them for a couple weeks and they don't die. I have both. I water them when the lily droops and they've survived a couple years this way.
Reply:Ivy, easy and fast growing. Aloe, easy and fast growing and can use for cuts and burns by cutting a leaf open.
Reply:African Violets really require not very much care and area a joy when they bloom. Just pick a good southern window.
Reply:Money plant,it doesn't even need soil,it can grow in water,easy to care
