How can i get my plants to grow better?

My gardens small and partly shaded but not much seems to want to grow in it, how can i get my plants to grow bigger? I have climbers planted a year and a half ago that have hardly grown. My lawn also seems really patchy and I wondered if anyone could suggest how to get it to grow better ive tried seeding it in the bald spots but this didnt work

How can i get my plants to grow better?
When seeding the bald spots in your lawn always cover the seeds with soil and water daily. Miracle Grow will give your plants a boost. Turn some black humus into the soil and put on top for extra nutrients and a nice look.
Reply:Put water on then :P
Reply:have you tried putting any fertiliser onto your garden ,or better still how about digging in some well rotted horse manure to improve the soil
Reply:feed them, not just water them
Reply:after making tea, open the tea bags and throw the tea leafs in the garden or flower pots; this is very good fertilizer.
Reply:Increase the depth of the soil.It seems that tree roots etc are getting first to any moisture and food.Feed now with chicken pellets. When a lawn has a problem its never the actual lawn, but the underneath,so reseeding will temporarily solve it,but it will revert back to how it was.Its sounds like shade and root issues
Reply:Regular watering, fertilizer and shade tolerant plants
Reply:Talk to them nicely and often
Reply:The lawn will never be great ,because of the shade .Maybe you should pave some over and have pots.

You should try to grow plants that dont mind less sunshine.
Reply:If a tree is the shade mabe you could cutsome lower branch off or poke some holes in canopy fert 4 lawn compost 4 garden good luck
