If we phase out older coal-burning plants and phase them with new more efficienct plants, who would have to pay for it? How would this be done?
How to pay for new coal plants?
Well the power company has investors, shareholders, and profits which can pay to build new power plants. Just like any company wanting to build something new.
Reply:As with every commercial venture the first investment is made by shareholders but in the end it is the final consumer that pays the price of all development.
