I just purchased live plants for my aquarium and have a question about planting them?

I am curious if I used small terra cotta pots to put them in if there would be enough circulation of nitrates for the plants to get sufficient nutrients. If the pots are not a good idea I would like some suggestions on what might work. I want to keep them in something during cleanings so they won't get damaged.

I Love You!!!
Reply:We have clay pots filled with Eco-Complete substrate and the plants do very well. It is black but so is our gravel. It looks very natural together.
Reply:you shouldn't have any problems with putting them in pots. Many people do, which makes it both easy to clean a rearrange as necessary.
Reply:Actually with terra cotta pots, the plants will dig deep into the pot and start growing into it. Most plants get their nutrients from the water, but you can also get plant substrates such as Flourite and Eco-Complete and ADA Soil. I doubt in or out of the terra cotta pots the plant would get damaged.

CO2 is a bit tricky to new people.

Or you can just dose with Flourish.
