What are some plants, animals, and decorations for a creek?

My friend and I are cleaning out her creek and we need some suggestions on what plants to put in or by it, how to atract animals, and some homemade and easy decorations to make it more "friendly". if you have any ideas... please speack up and if they work then i will make your comment my favorite answer for this queston and thanks again for helping.

What are some plants, animals, and decorations for a creek?
definitely ferns, moss, and anything that keeps humans away; poison ivy
Reply:Ferns! White flowering trees, little sugar cane things, and last but not least the little white or purple flowers are awsome! They are local to the area you live in.
Reply:you havent stated what climate these plants will be experiencing.it also depends on what effect you want.if you want a tropical look or have the creek as a main feature.if you want that tropical look you can incorporate fern varieties with plants that have a glossy leathery leaf eg schefflara.dracaenas and philodendrons.another thought is if you want the creek as the main then planting grasses like swamp grasses or fox tail grasses and flaxes ,dianellas and mondo grasses, cordylines, even yuccas.this sort of planting is very eye catching.how fast does your creek flow or how wide is it.can you also plant water plants.this also encourages your frogs to inhibate your water world.large stones stratigically placed looks awesome.old pots lying on their sides with plants growing out of them.home made bird feeders are a simple way of attracting wild life .old bench seats privide both character and a place to sit to enjoy your new creation.good luck.
