What are some plants that can handle a sunny South-Facing Patio?

My tomatoes love the sun, but my jasmine won't flower.

I need some low maintenance plants (just water and trim).

I live in Southern California. I'm not interested in cactus.

What are some plants that can handle a sunny South-Facing Patio?
There are a lot of things you can plant, here are just a few suggestions... I would treat the following like annual color and replant when they are looking tired.

Trailing: Verbena, Petunia, Calibrachoa, Alyssum, Gypsophila

Upright: Nemesia, Angelonia, Calendula, Rudbeckia, Cosmos, Schizanthus, Linaria, Cheiranthus, Coleus, Dianthus, Snapdragons, Ornamental Cabbage and Kale, Forget-Me-Not, Stock, Iceland Poppies

Below are just a few fairly easy to grow perennials that are nice. Just some deadheading and watering and they will grow gloriously.

Perennials: Sedum (stonecrop), Erigeron (Santa Barbara Daisy), Geranium, Penstemon (beard tongue), Lavender, Salvia, Roses, Heliotrope, Lantana, Lavatera, Achillea (yarrow), Solanum (potato vine), Mandevilla, Passiflora (passion vine), Trachelospermum (star jasmine), ornamental grasses (many foliage colors to choose from and different flower forms too), Hemerocallis (daylily), Anigozanthos (kangaroo paw)

Hope this helps you some!
Reply:Peri winkles, they grow really well if they have sun, you never have to trim them and they only take a mimimun of water, they bloom most of the year and come in many colors.
