I have 6 strawberry plants which have been producing lots of strawberry's, they now seem to have stopped producing any more. What do i do with the plants?
What do i do with my strawberry plants?
keep them, nexted year you should have more plants. are they in garden or pots. if in garden make sure they are spaced out and place any runners where you want them to grow.
i started off with one plant 2 years ago, i have no idea how many i have now?
Reply:Take few small containers full of peat or any potting compost place them near strawberry plants and pull the strawberry shoots down to the placed containers and fix the terminal shoots with the help of hair pin on the surface of those compost filled containers, By this procedure you can propagate number of strawberry plants as the branches produce roots in a very less time, which may be useful for you in the next season.
Reply:Send them to me..I like strawberries
Reply:You keep them. They'll produce again early fall
Reply:leave them where they are i found they do better the longer you keep them
Reply:Mine died before they could produce so much as a flower, so I wouldn't ask me
Reply:Thats a good one. I grew 1000's of plants last year. This yera I had over 50 lbs of them, (good for daquiries) See if leting the runners grow if that helps. It may have something to do with reproduction of the plants
